The purpose of this tool is to have a single MAC address same for LAN and WiFi interface, so you could connect to the same network as one computer from both interfaces. The LAN interface has higher priority - speeds could be much higher of course :)

OneMac is able to detect link change and if it detects LAN cable connected, it sets LAN as primary (and vice versa). When WiFi is not set as primary, it can be turned off completely to save battery.


No other tool on the net worked for me (automatic wifi disabling on cable connect). So this is my response 8-)

Compatible with WIndows XP/Vista/7 x32/x64

How to start OneMac on startup when you login *without* any request for permissions even when UAC is enabled
(Run on startup insode application in version 0.002 doesn't work with UAC enabled)

Here is how to make it start with your Windows 7.

1. Run OneMac

2. Uncheck Run on startup

3. Launch the Task Scheduler (Control Panel -> Administration Tools -> Task Scheduler)

4. From the Actions panel on the right, select Create Task...

5. Give the Task a description of 'OneMac' (or anything else)

6. Go to the Security Options on the General tab

7. Select an user account with administrative privileges

8. Select the radio button Run only when user is logged on

9. Check the box Run with highest privileges

10. Go to the Triggers tab and click New...

11. In Begin the task, select At log on

12. In the Settings options, select All users (Any user)

13. In the Advanced Settings options, check the box Enabled

14. Click OK to close the dialog

15. Go to the Actions tab and click New...

16. For Action, select Start a program

17. In the Settings options, browse for the Program/Script you want to execute on startup

17.5 (optional to startup minimalized) To Add arguments type /tray

18. Click OK to close the dialog

19. Go to the Conditions tab

20. In Power seting, uncheck Start the task only if the computer is on AC power

21. Go to the Settings tab

22. Check the box Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed

23. Uncheck the box Stop the task if it runs longer than

24. Click OK to save and close the task properties

25. Logout.

26. Login.

25. Wait - OneMac will eventually load - usually instantly, but may be up to 30 seconds or so.

OneMac will now start when you login *without* any request for permissions even when UAC is enabled.
