OpenWRT 19.07.10 squashfs for ath79 4MB devices (-tiny) with LuCI
#1

This is a package of OpenWRT 19.07.10 stable builds for targets ath79.

Modifications against default tiny packages:
  • removed PPP support
  • removed OPKG
  • added LuCI
  • added relayd
  • added WatchCat
  • replaced wpad-mini by wpad-basic

This way the builds could fit into squashfs (factory/sysupgrade) compatible builds. Relayd is there for cases where you use the device as LAN extender over WLAN without additional NAT. Wpad-basic enables the use of 802.11r.

Please note there is still upgrading incompatibility against deprecated target ar71xx (OpenWRT version 18.06 or older), please see https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/inst...x.to.ath79 for more info.

Builds have not been tested for all devices, but compiling resulted in no errors.

For wget in console you can use extra configured non-secure source http://openwrt.ashus.net/19.07.10-target...tiny-luci/

Very good work!

Is possible to compile the 19.07.7 for the TL-WA701ND v2 (I have found only the firmware for v1)?

Thanks

Can you compile firmware to TPLINK WR740v4 with LuCI and wireguard? I found compile with wireguard but no have LuCI.

Sorry, it won't fit together into 4MB flash even on this older and smaller OpenWRT 19.07.x. Buy a new router with larger ROM.

Hi, Ashus! Is it possible for you to update your tiny build for 841nd-v10 with latest current 19.07.9 release? Pretty, please.

Hi, thanks for the great work and support for smaller devices.

Is it possible for you to update your tiny build for tp-link 841n-v14 (https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/tp-link/t...wr841n_v14)?

The supported devices page reflects snapshot version available however its not and techdata sheet reflects smaller rom (hence not supported anymore?).

Hi,
device page https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr841nd shows smaller ROM and some potential support in snapshots, but I believe, nobody will try to make it work, autobuilds dont work anymore with this little space. There was a shift in target architecture from ath79 to ramips/mt76x8 where there is no tiny target. Also there is no effort from community to try to build it small enough to fit into 4 MB ROM. Otherwise it seems it could be compatible with v13, if there was ROM big enough.

Please buy another device, they are not that expensive. Try Xiaomi Mi 4A Gigabit, it's price in Czechia is around 24€ and there is plenty of power and space for packages.
